How to Live a Frugal Life

Some people wonder what frugality is. For those who do not know, frugality is a philosophy of life, which preaches that you can live with what is just. In other words, spend only what is necessary, and save resources as much as possible.

- Being frugal means being stingy?
- Will I ever become rich by following a lifestyle of frugality?

It is important to emphasize that, like all philosophy of life, frugality has its pros and cons, depending on the point of view from which it is analyzed.

So, it is not possible to say, that being frugal will improve my life, or it will ruin it, if not, it goes into context with the behavior and attitudes that are considered when acquiring this particular way of life.

Frugality

The frugality intended as such, provide a behavioral alternative to consumerism, and thus improve the lifestyle of people. When one is frugal , optimize resources of any kind (money, time...) in such a way that the result is to live in a comfortable way and control the mind to avoid spending those resources on the unnecessary.

The frugality itself, can reduce the possible impact of the crisis and significantly increases our knowledge about money, because it allows us to be smarter when making decisions for distribution.

Nevertheless…

Thinking of frugality can take us the wrong way. It all depends on how you apply it to your life, and today I want to give you some tips so that you get the most out of frugality.

Live with enough

Living with enough does not mean being always tight, and not giving oneself likes. On the contrary, living with enough only excludes those expenses, which are considered really unnecessary. For example, if you do not eat enough, you will not be satisfied, and therefore, you would not be frugal.

If on the contrary, you consider that you have enough food, but still feel the desire to eat more, simply to free yourself from pressures or anxieties, then frugality could help you.

The same applies for money. The issue is not living stingy to never enjoy and be bitter all day for not being able to use the money. It is on the contrary, to be intelligent when using it.

Earn more, spend less

Monetary prosperity is the relationship between our profits and our expenses. If we earn more than we spend, then we have some prosperity.

That is, you increase your prosperity through the frugal life, whether you increase your profits and your expenses remain constant, as if you decrease your expenses and your earnings remain constant. If it is difficult or complicated for you to increase your profits, you can start by reducing your expenses. On the contrary, if it is difficult for you to reduce your expenses, you should consider the possibility of obtaining additional income. Remember that money is easy to earn, but difficult to maintain.

Conclusion

We must be careful when defining the term of frugality, without going to the extreme of self-limiting by the fact of not being able to achieve more and not thinking beyond reality. The Frugality does not have to be any impediment in achieving your dreams and for any reason will turn away from abundance. It is known that many people known to be influential in monetary terms live a life of frugality.

Today I recommend that you consider the possibility of following the philosophy of frugality in your life, without limiting you in any way to achieve success.

Until next time! Successes with your frugality!
